This apartment is on the second floor. It’s is a beautiful and high-ceilinged flat. Three large windows overlook a courtyard and on the opposite side two windows look down onto the narrow alley way by which you entered the building.
Its main asset, the space, is enhanced by the charm of the old: a composition of red bricks, rough wood, terracotta tiles and hewn timbers, typical of the local houses . The oak beams and joists remain exposed across the room and unify the different spaces.
As in Le loft, this apartment is open plan and offers an easy to live with arrangement of living, dining and kitchen spaces. The living room area, with its two modern and comfortable sofas that stretch out, invites you to rest and relax.
In the dining area the large wooden table and its metal chairs have the look of a good flea market find.
Just beyond is the rustic but well equipped kitchen. It is open plan so no one is ever cut off from companions whilst putting food and drinks together.
Alongside is the double bedroom. The bedstead is overlooked by a ceiling of exposed beams and joists and sits on a terracotta floor. Rugs give warmth to feet and a window gives on to the narrow alley way. The curtains in Toile de Jouy gives it a soft and romantic atmosphere.
The bedroom close to the entrance at the far end of the apartment also looks over the alley. Like the double bedroom the ceiling and two of the walls are the original “colombages” but here the floor is wooden. It sleeps two and the bed can be arranged as two singles or one double. Let us know in advance your preference.
These bed rooms are exclusively for two people, there being no space for extra beds.
The shared shower room and separate toilet are tucked down at the far end of the room.
